Best community bar in the Hudson valley! Friendly staff, amazing owner who cares about her customers, service & the experience!! The culture here is grounded & welcoming! Annie is festive & celebrated every American holiday & tradition by decorating the bar! Halloween & Xmas decorations are top tier! The food is to die for, especially the wings & burgers!! Last but not least; the drinks, full fall for yall favorite drinks & beer tabs! Paying with cash? Perfect, you’ll even get a 4% discount of your check!

I came to this restaurant/local bar for the first time yesterday and I’m so glad I did! The server was friendly and incredibly accommodating. He checked up on us throughout our meal and attended to all of our needs in a timely manner. The food was beyond delicious and affordable. I will definitely be returning again soon and highly recommend giving them a visit!

After gazing around the Central Valley/Woodbury area, coming across “A Better Place Bar & Grill” was a total success! This fine establishment offers authentic American food for the entire family. The place itself is tidy and well-kept, not to mention their lively bar and music. Clean bathrooms and ample parking out front are available. I was thrilled to see the amount of plant based options that they had to offer as well. Our waiter Jake was very polite and helpful when asking for recommendations! He attended us within seconds of being seated, while staying on top of all of our needs. I ended up ordering the Vegan Wings with their creamy plant based blue cheese which was absolutely DELICIOUS! I will definitely be back to make my way around their diverse menu and experience the true American dream!

This bar isn't called "A better place" for no reason, it really is a better place! right when you walk in the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The bartender Pattie has a welcoming and friendly aura that brings you in and makes you want to bring all your friends. Ive only been here a few times but her service is exceptional, she always caters to anything me or the people around me need in such a genuine caring manner. she really makes me feel seen, we usually end up chatting, catching up about our lives, laughing, talking on the beauty of life and the commonalities of being woman, seriously the best bartender I've ever had, I come to the bar just to see her, Id consider her a friend at this point! don't hesitate to come here if your looking for a good time, a few drinks or just... a better place.

We went at a weird time, 4:30 PM, so naturally we were the only customers there. Our waiter was attentive & friendly. The food was fine, but not spectacular. I ordered a bean burger with Gouda, & I couldn’t taste much of the cheese at all. My husband had the cowboy burger & said it was serviceable. The fries were crispy & slightly burnt, but we didn’t mind. For the two of us, two burgers, and a beer, we spent about $40 with tip. Overall it was a nice experience for hungry people who wanted a burger.

Nice place near Woodbury Commons. Great atmosphere, reasonably priced, clean, and great friendly staff. Ordered some drinks and wings and the wings were on point, made the way we liked them. Can't remember the name but they have a wing flavor with their maple syrup/bacon and bourbon glaze on them. Holy poop was they good. Overall very nice place, for a family night, guys/gals night out or to bring a date. Highly recommend it, especially if you're leaving the Commons and would like some real home-cooked food.

This place truly lives up to its name!! From the amazing food to the even better staff, I honestly never wanna leave!! As soon as you walk in, the environment is super chill and such a great vibe!! It’s difficult to find staff that genuinely enjoy their job, but at this place every single staff member I have met genuinely love their job!! Patty has such a beautiful voice and is such a kind soul, Jake is super friendly and is knowledgeable about the area, and Micheal is hilarious and super fun to be around!!! They are all hard workers and are masters behind the bar!! I can’t wait to go back!!!!

Cute local place. Owner is extremely friendly and seemed really to care about the quality of the food. Would definitely stop back if driving through the area again.
